View EXIF data in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.

or drag, drop, or paste a JPEG, PNG, HEIC, or WebP. Nothing leaves your device.

A photo metadata viewer lists GPS, the camera, dates, XMP, and the file header.

How it works

01

Check EXIF data

Drop a JPEG, PNG, HEIC, or WebP. This online EXIF viewer reads the file on your device.

02

Read every tag

The EXIF reader lists the tags it finds: camera, dates, GPS, XMP, and the file header.

03

Open the place, or remove it

If the photo has coordinates, open them in Google Maps. The button above strips the metadata and gives you a clean copy.

Questions

Is this an online EXIF viewer?

Yes. It runs in your browser. The photo stays on this device, and nothing is uploaded.

What does the EXIF reader show?

Every tag it can read: GPS, camera, dates, XMP, and file-header fields such as bit depth, color type, and resolution.

Does checking EXIF data send my photo anywhere?

No. The file stays in this tab. If you open the Google Maps link, that click sends the coordinates to Google.

How is this photo metadata viewer different from the EXIF remover?

This page shows the full table, then removes the metadata here if you want it gone. The EXIF remover is the same cleanup when you already know you want it gone.

Which photos can I check?

JPEG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, AVIF, and TIFF. A screenshot can still carry a description, dates, and sometimes a location.

Want your photos to never carry this in the first place?

Privately is a private photo vault for iPhone. Your photos and videos are encrypted on your device with a key that never leaves it — no cloud, no accounts, no tracking.
